This resource is intended to outline the steps to complete the General Supervision System Grant (GSSG) Mid-Year Progress Report activity in Catamaran.

The GSSG Mid-Year Progress Report is due to the MDE by January 7, 2022.

Note: The GSSG Mid-Year Progress Report will only appear on the ISD Director’s Tasks Overview. It is the responsibility of the ISD Director to submit the mid-year progress report to MDE. ISD personnel in either the ISD Monitor or ISD Business Official role in Catamaran will only be allowed to edit forms at the discretion of the ISD Director.

Access the Activity

  1. Log in to Catamaran.
  2. Access the GSSG Mid-Year Progress Report in one of the following two ways:
  • On the Dashboard, scroll down to the Tasks Overview section. Use the filters, as needed, to narrow tasks, and select the link in the Activity column to open the activity.
  • On the Dashboard, choose the Search link in the upper right-hand corner of the page. Using the search function, select Monitoring. Filter the search results by selecting General Supervision to access the 2021-22 GSSG Activity.

Before completing the GSSG Mid-Year Progress Report, the ISD may wish to access its submitted application. The ISD may also review additional materials in the Resources box.

Complete GSSG Mid-Year Progress Report

  1. On the General Supervision System Grant Menu, click the GSSG Mid-Year Progress Report Form link under the Mid-Year Progress Report heading.

  1. Complete the 2021-22 GSSG Mid-Year Progress Report Form and choose Save or Save/Next to progress to the next section of the form.
Note: To navigate back and forth between sections, use the navigation menu on the left.

  1. Complete each section of the mid-year progress report. Each report is organized into separate sections with questions related to the following areas:
  • Getting Started
  • General Supervision Activities and Timelines
  • Selected Priority Area
  • Making Connections
  • Fiscal
  1. It is recommended to review all sections of the report prior to submitting to MDE. To do so, download a full summary of the mid-year progress report by either,
  • Selecting the Download Full Progress Report Summary button within the form or

Submit the GSSG Mid-Year Progress Report

  1. Verify that each section of the mid-year progress report has been completed.
  2. Submit the GSSG Mid-Year Progress Report to the MDE for review by selecting the Submit to MDE button at the top of the Fiscal page.

The GSSG Mid-Year Progress Report is now complete and submitted! Once the MDE accepts the mid-year progress report, the status Mid-Year Report Accepted by MDE will be displayed in the status history. Catamaran will then advance the GSSG Activity to Continue GSSG Activities so the ISD may continue working on grant activities.

Note: If the ISD receives a page error while submitting the mid-year progress report, this means that one or more questions was not completed. Follow the instructions in the page error to complete the question(s) as needed.

If the MDE returns the GSSG Mid-Year Progress Report, update the form, and then resubmit within one week from the modifications request notification date (following steps 7 and 8). The new status will change to Mid-Year Report Resubmitted to MDE.
