Access the SD Monitoring Activity

  1. Login to Catamaran.
  2. From the Dashboard, you will find the applicable SD Monitoring activities on your task overview.
Note: You may wish to filter your Tasks Overview based on the October 2017 release.
  1. Click on the Activity link to access the activity.

  1. This will take you to the SD Monitoring Menu. From here, you may access the Cover Page, the district’s submitted Monthly Updates, and the Recommendations page.

Complete the SD Monitoring Visit

  1. From the SD Monitoring Menu, click on the Cover Page. Complete the Cover Page while at the SD Monitoring visit.
  • On the Cover Page, complete the OSE Reviewer information and the District Contact information as needed
  • To add a second OSE Reviewer or District Contact, click A second row will appear.
  • Review the submitted district plan or the revised district plan as needed from the links on the Cover Page.
  • Enter any applicable comments at this point in the process and click Save or Save & Next.
Note: Once you have completed the SD Monitoring Visit, you may return to the SD Cover Page to finalize the SD visit by clicking Implement Plan at the top of the page. This will notify the district that the initial visit is completed. The district can then see the Monthly Update page and amend their plan as needed.

  1. Complete the Recommendation Log on the Recommendations form as needed.
  • This log can act as a running list of comment from multiple state users.
  • Districts are not able to see these comments.
Note: To add another row in the Recommendation Log, click Save and an additional row will appear.

After the Visit: Completing the Activity

Throughout the SD Monitoring activity, MDE users can view the district’s newly input information on the Monthly Updates page. MDE users may also access and use the Recommendations page throughout the process.

  1. Review the district’s Monthly Updates (ongoing throughout the year)
  • After the initial visit, you may review the district’s monthly updates on this page.
  • You may download each document by clicking on the underlined document title link.
  • After receiving and reviewing all the monthly updates for the year and reviewing the submitted documents from the district, click Completed to close out the activity.
